Measuring Your IPD.

Take A Photo To Measure Your IPD.

Step 1 : SET UP YOUR MATERIALS.

What You Need:

A smartphone or camera and a millimeter ruler.

Positioning:

Make sure you’re standing at eye level with the camera, and the camera is at an arm’s length from your face to get a clear and straight photo.

Lighting:

Ensure you’re in a well-lit area with no harsh shadows on your face for the best accuracy.

Step 2: TAKE THE PHOTO.

Hold the Ruler:

Place the ruler horizontally on your forehead, just above your eyes, making sure the measurement markings are visible.

Eye Level and Distance:

Keep your eyes open and look straight ahead at the camera. Ensure the photo is taken from eye level and the correct distance (arm's length) to avoid distortion.

Capture:

Have someone else take the photo for you or use a self-timer feature to get a well-aligned and steady shot.

Step 3: MEASURE YOUR IPD.

Analyze the Photo:

Open the photo on a device where you can zoom in. Ensure both pupils and the ruler are visible.

Adjust and Align:

Make sure the photo is properly aligned so the ruler appears straight for accurate measurement.

Measure:

Measure the distance between the centers of your pupils using the markings on the ruler in millimeters.

Your working distance is the distance from your eyes to your working area when you're in your most comfortable working position. Here's how you can measure it:

Sit or Stand.

Sit or stand in your usual working position.

Grab A Ruler.

Hold a ruler at the temple of your glasses, extending it to your working area.

Measure.

Measure the distance in inches or centimeters.
