The LumaDent warranty offers comprehensive coverage to ensure your satisfaction and the longevity of our products. Whether you are a dentist, hygienist, surgeon, EFDA/EDDA, or are following a different path–such as a career in biology, electronics, jewelry, or anything in between where seeing clearly is paramount, the experts at LumaDent are here to help you reach ultimate precision when it comes to your craft.

Lifetime Loupes Warranty Eligibility

The LumaDent Lifetime Warranty covers only the original purchaser of LumaDent loupes, as verified in our records. It’s non-transferable and does not extend to subsequent owners.

Lifetime Loupes Warranty Coverage

LumaDent is committed to delivering high-quality, durable loupes. The Lifetime Loupes Warranty ensures that LumaDent loupes are free from manufacturer defects. This includes the repair or replacement of qualifying components, including but not limited to:

  • Temple arms
  • Hinges
  • Carrier lenses
  • Vario Bar
  • Loose oculars
  • Adhesive bonds and seals
  • Collimation

Prescription updates are also included in the warranty. However, service fees may apply for loupes with:

  • Progressive lenses
  • Blue blocker lenses
  • High-index lenses

Certain frame elements are classified as replaceable maintenance parts and are not covered under this warranty. These include, but are not limited to:

  • Nose pad saddles
  • Brackets
  • Auxiliary accessories such as loupe straps

Our Quality Assurance team assesses each case to confirm that any issue results from a manufacturing defect and not from misuse.

Not Covered in the Lifetime Loupes Warranty

The following situations and damage types are not covered:

  • Mishandling or neglect (e.g., dropping, crushing, scratching, or theft)
  • Improper or unauthorized use, modifications, or repairs
  • Shipping issues  (e.g., lost or damaged packages during transit)
  • Normal wear and tear associated with daily use
  • Use of restricted chemicals (e.g., adhesives, glutaraldehydes, iodophors, alcohol, bleach, CaviWipes™, or use of autoclave/chemiclave machines with any LumaDent product)
  • External factors outside of LumaDent's control
  • Cosmetic damage that does not affect performance

We stand firmly behind the quality and durability of our headlight systems, which is why we provide a generous warranty to our valued customers.

Headlight Warranty Coverage

Our Headlight Warranty covers your LumaDent headlight against defects in materials and workmanship, ensuring your investment is protected. Our Headlight Warranty covers various components, including the headlight itself, battery pack, charger, wires, and cables, offering peace of mind for your essential tools.

The Headlight Warranty covers the following:

  • Headlamp (LED) - 2 Years
  • Battery Pack & Charger - 1 Year
  • Mounts & Linkage Arms - 1 Year
  • Magnets & Clips - 1 Year
  • Composite Filter - 1 Year
  • Combo Case - 1 Year
  • Wires & Cables - 6 Months

Note: The coverage provided by LumaDent does not indicate the lifetime of the product. While LumaDent's coverage details may specify the extent of protection or warranty that comes with our dental and surgical headlights, it does not necessarily reflect how long the product will remain operational or in good condition. The actual lifespan of LumaDent products can be influenced by various factors, including usage frequency, maintenance practices, and environmental conditions in the dental or surgical setting. 

Not Covered in the Headlight Warranty

Our Quality Assurance Team has sole authority to determine defects and whether a unit qualifies for repair or replacement.

The following situations and damage types are not covered:

  • Instances of liquid damage affecting headlights and batteries
  • Mishandling or neglect (e.g., dropping, crushing, scratching, or theft)
  • Non-compliance with product user manuals, maintenance guidelines, or warnings.
  • Improper or unauthorized use, modifications, or repairs
  • Normal wear and tear associated with daily use

Return & Exchange Policy

At LumaDent, your satisfaction is our top priority. If you're not completely happy with our products, you can return them within the first 45 days of receiving your order. Simply send the product back in its original packaging, and we'll give you a full refund, minus a $150 customization fee* and the initial shipping and handling charge.

*The $150 customization fee applies to all ergonomic through-the-lens loupes. This fee helps cover the costs associated with crafting and customizing the ergonomics of this LumaDent products, which is tailored to your specific needs and preferences. We appreciate your understanding as it ensures we can maintain the highest quality and craftsmanship of our custom-made products that our customers have come to expect. If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact our customer solutions team.

Returns & Refunds

LumaDent permits returns for a refund within the 45-day trial period, with deductions for the original shipping and handling fees, as well as any applicable service charges (such as prescription services and customization fees). 

Keep in mind:

  • Shipping fees are non-refundable.
  • Prescription services for loupes are non-refundable.
  • The customer returning the product is responsible for covering the shipping costs.
  • Refunds will not be issued for final sale items.
  • If your product has been damaged, misused, or modified, it may not qualify for a return.

Exchanges

LumaDent offers a hassle-free exchange policy for products purchased within the 45-day trial period. Exchanges, at no additional cost, can be made for items of equal value.

You can initiate an exchange within the 45-day trial for a variety of reasons, including:

  1. Changing the battery color, LED Package, LED color temperature
  2. Changing magnification, frame style, color
  3. Receiving the incorrect product (e.g., mount)
  4. Changing type of loupes (e.g., TTL vs. Flip-Up, Galilean vs. Prism)

Keep in mind:

  • Any price difference between the products being exchanged must be settled before we ship the new product to you. If the new product is less expensive, we will refund the difference to you. Once we send your exchange, your 45-day trial will restart upon the day of receipt of your new product.

  • If your product has been damaged, misused, or modified, it may not qualify for an exchange. (Refer to the “Not Covered in the Lifetime Loupes Warranty") section above.

  • All service prices are denominated in USD.
  • The serviceability of your equipment will be determined by LumaDent upon receiving and assessing the item.
  • The sender is responsible for the shipping costs to LumaDent. Rest assured, LumaDent covers the shipping expenses for returning serviced product(s) to the sender using basic shipping methods.
