Fitting Information
Working Distance (Requires 2 people)
- Stand or sit in a relaxed, ergonomically optimal position, arms bent at approximately 90 degrees, elbows in.
- If you use straight loupes, tilt your head down and look at the "target." If using ergonomic loupes, keep your head in a neutral, relaxed posture, looking straight ahead (level).
- Keeping that position, have another person measure the distance from your nose bridge to the "target" in inches.
Interpupillary Distance
- Make an appointment with one of our local sales representatives
- Using a pupilometer, they can accurately extract your interpupilary distance.
- Once they have your IPD, they can relay it to our production team to custom-make loupes for your unique facial profile.
Interpupillary Distance (Optometrist)
- If you cannot be measured in person by one of our sales representatives due to location constraints, place an online order and then:
- Visit a local optometrist or optical store for a quick IPD measurement (measured at infinity).
- Provide the measurement photo to us so we can update your order appropriately with your IPD.
Interpupillary Distance (No pupilometer or optometrist available)
- Stand comfortably and look straight ahead in a well-lit room.
- Place a ruler or standard credit card with the magnetic strip visible flush against your forehead
- Take a well-centered photo of your face with the flash ON that clearly shows each pupil.
- Once you send it to us, the photo can be used to approximate your IPD, using the ruler or credit card as a reference
