Fitting Information

Working Distance (Requires 2 people)

  1. Stand or sit in a relaxed, ergonomically optimal position, arms bent at approximately 90 degrees, elbows in.
  2. If you use straight loupes, tilt your head down and look at the "target." If using ergonomic loupes, keep your head in a neutral, relaxed posture, looking straight ahead (level).
  3. Keeping that position, have another person measure the distance from your nose bridge to the "target" in inches.

Interpupillary Distance

  1. Make an appointment with one of our local sales representatives
  2. Using a pupilometer, they can accurately extract your interpupilary distance.
  3. Once they have your IPD, they can relay it to our production team to custom-make loupes for your unique facial profile.

Interpupillary Distance (Optometrist)

  1. If you cannot be measured in person by one of our sales representatives due to location constraints, place an online order and then:
  2. Visit a local optometrist or optical store for a quick IPD measurement (measured at infinity).
  3. Provide the measurement photo to us so we can update your order appropriately with your IPD.

Interpupillary Distance (No pupilometer or optometrist available)

  1. Stand comfortably and look straight ahead in a well-lit room.
  2. Place a ruler or standard credit card with the magnetic strip visible flush against your forehead
  3. Take a well-centered photo of your face with the flash ON that clearly shows each pupil.
  4. Once you send it to us, the photo can be used to approximate your IPD, using the ruler or credit card as a reference
