FAQs

How do ergonomic loupes improve posture?

The optical pathway refracts downwards, allowing users to look forwards while seeing downwards. As both head tilt and neck flexion are minimized, users can easily adopt a natural, ergonomic alignment of neck and back throughout long procedures.

What is the difference in weight between Ergo Air 4th Gen and other models like ErgoPrism?

The Ergo Air 4th Gen oculars are, on average, 50% lighter than the ErgoPrism and other standard ergonomic loupes on the market. For some models, even lighter than 50%!

What is the difference between the Ergo Air 4th Gen compared to the 3rd Gen?

The Ergo Air 4th Gen model takes lightweight loupes to another level being 30% lighter than the 3rd Gen at 3.5x magnification. It also offers a wider range of magnification options with 6.5x and 8.0x now available.

Will my working distance change when I switch to ergonomic loupes?

Now that you won't need to bend your neck or hunch your back to view your patient, your head will typically be a few inches further from your working area. This results in a small, but functional increase in your working distance.

How should I clean my loupes?

It is recommended to clean the lenses with a microfiber cloth and lens-safe cleaning solution, avoiding abrasive materials or alcoholic ingredients that could damage the coatings. We recommend Optim-1 cleaning wipes.
